The one question I'd love to have the candidates asked in a debate is: "If the price of oil drops to 80 clownbux/bbl and stays there for more than a year, how will that change your energy proposals." I'm sure they won't admit they'd back down, but it would be a good way to pin them down before it happens. Because that scenario (oil goes to 80 in a recessions, drilling/exploration/conservation all end....economy picks up and we hit the wall almost immediately with oil back to 200).
