'So do you think Bush is a moron or an evil genius? '

Worst president since Hoover no doubt. I doubt he was an evil genius in averting depression in the post 9/11 world. It was easy to prop up property values dormant for a decade and not follow the fiscal prudence of his father. Just lead the country into debt slavery, ignore the will of the people, appease your special interests and all will be fine?

A distinction without a difference.

So do you think Bush is a moron or an evil genius? Which is it?

That's a good question and I've given it a lot of thought.

The TRUTH is neither.

Bush is an irresponsible party person who disdains education in favor of "gut feelings." (How do you get through Harvard with a "C" average? A gentleman's agreement.) Research is boring. Bush clearly relies on others for his policy decisions.

However, the most powerful people in his administration ARE evil geniuses, Cheney and Rove among others. Cheney is a genius bureaucratic infighter. Rove is the master when it comes to dirty tricks, innuendo, rumor. I mean you have to give him credit, he's the best.

These career bureaucrats who control the administration, have abstracted ideological positions, and unfortunately, because they have no real life experience, hold fast to their ideology no matter how large the growing evidence that they are wrong.

This is why they disdain flip flopping. They hold fast to their ideology no matter what evidence contradicts it. They disdain flexible minds and policies. Evidence means nothing to them.

MORE TRUTH

Bill Clinton and Obama don't have a hell of a lot of real life experience. However look at the obvious differences between them and the Republican candidates when it comes to educational attitudes:

Bush didn't know where Pakistan was.
McCain thought Pakistan and Iraq shared a border.

These are the brilliant foreign policy gurus we want leading the US?

STARK CONTRASTS:

Bill Clinton - Rhodes Scholarship Oxford , Juris Doctor Yale from poor background.

George Bush MBA Harvard "C" average student - got in because of dad.

John McCain United States Naval Academy BA or BS, 5th from the bottom, 894 out of 898 in his class at the Naval academy! Admits he became flier because it would help him score chicks.

Barack Obama Harvard Doctorate, Magna cum Laude, Editor Harvard Review, scholarship, from poor background.
