KOAN: Those guys were Marxist nut cases. Every population of 300 million will always include nut cases. Hell, most of us have a nut case in our own family somewhere-lol.

Science says we most often vote for poeple who are like us. So politicians put up a mirror to people and say: "vote for me I am like you". And because I am like you forget about anything you might not like about me.

The vast majority of the time people do not make objective logical political decisions based on facts and logic. We just vote for a member of our "clan". Sort of like cheering for our football team-lol."

This is even more so if we "dislike" a group for some reason.

I wss born in a tough town (richmond calif) and had little education until I was 20. I remember how much I disliked the kids at the university of calif at Berkeley. In reality I was working in a factory and was jealous of them.

I then somehow stumbled into college and four years later I was cheering for them. I didn't understand them earlier and disliked them.

Many in the middle east dislike Americans. But they have very little understanding of us except we are different. And we are more powerful and prosperous than they are and our ways are different and we are mainly Christians. Just blind prejudice.

Cheers,

Obama wrestled with the issue of racial equality yesterday when hecklers confronted him at a town hall meeting in St. Petersburg.

"Why is it that that you have not spoken to the issues or spoken on behalf of the African community?" demanded Diop Olugbala, 31, citing the plight of poor blacks targeted by predatory lenders, police brutality and racist attacks.

Obama defended his record, saying he had spoken out on every issue the hecklers raised, from the shooting of Sean Bell in New York to the prosecution of the "Jena Six" in Louisiana to predatory lending targeted at blacks and Hispanics.

Campaigns often will plant questioners to pose questions that they want posed.

By someone else raising them they are then off of the hook---as it isn't them that posed the question.

Not saying that Obama campaign had these questions planted-----does make politically astute people wonder.
