The fact is, one of the candidates is better than the other, and the country will be better off if the better candidate wins.

Just because Mother Teresa overslept one morning and isn't perfect, it doesn't mean there's no moral difference between her and Adolf Hitler - but that's basically what you're arguing.

Given that according to the latest Gallop poll the two candidates are equal I don't think one can say that one is better than the other. BTW in a previous post I listed my reasons why Obama doesn't seem very different to me from Bush/McSame. I'm not looking for perfect but neither candidate is what I what on some or most crucial issues.

No, he isn't, that's a totally bogus, bs comparison.

There is no Mother Teresa in this race, and there is no Hitler either.

The gulf between Obama and McCain is nothing like that wide, and neither is the extreme between their respective good or evil.

That said, personally I find them both repulsive, and I doubt either of them would do much real good for this country.
