I think the gay lifestyle has a lot to offer, gays eat out a lot, they are a great source of restaurant recommendations, and they travel a lot and tend to live in nice places which they maintain nicely. They belong to health clubs and keep trim. Great fashion sense and always way ahead of the crowd in spotting trends.

I can't imagine why anyone would object to that.

I was thinking more of preachers who rant against gays, and elected officials who write anti-gay legislation, who then are revealed to be repressed homosexuals themselves.
