Sorry, ManyMoose. I just saw that post of yours and thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. If an "alien" race came in they'd probably be aware of the "concentration camps" of WWII and "cultural revolution" of China and the "work camps" that Stalin set up and the wonderful policies of Kmer Rouge and they'd probably think we as a SPECIES weren't worth saving. YOU and I would be saying we're nothing like that, just like 99.8% of the indigenous people of the Americas would have been saying that when the Europeans showed up. If you always judged an entire people by their leadership, I don't think you would find much of anybody worth saving. I'm not trying to pick on you and I apologize if it looks that way.

If a superior alien race could travel interstellar space (unlikely) they could move about unseen and take us over without us knowing. The odds against that ever happening are so high as to be almost nil. It's unlikely they would hunt us to extinction probably just mine out some natural resources using a combination of robots and slave labor and continue on their way. We're more likely to be wiped out by a meteorite or other astrobleme and chances are with our only slightly advanced from stone age technology won't see it coming. The odds are consciousness is distinct to our planet and there are no alien powers to be concerned with. meteoritelabels.com
