> There is very little proof to what you claim.

We've been 7 years without another terrorist attack. Almost everyone agreed we would be attacked again, but bigger, within that time frame.

So? We had a terrorist attack in 1993.....another one didn't happen until 2001. Meanwhile, American ports are still mostly unguarded and the borders mostly porous.....that's nearly 7 years after 9/11.

Bottomline: You have little to back up your position other than falling back on your unwavering ideology in the face of the truth.

He has decimated AQ -- they are relegated to living in caves and communicating by runner. While UBL hasn't been caught/killed, damned near every other important figure in AQ has been. We HAVE won the war in Iraq, for the most part -- although there will continue to be some violence as it winds down.

Huh? Did you ever see photos of an AQ camp pre 2001? These people never lived well. I think AQ will go the way of the dodo bird because their actions hurt most the people they claim to be helping.......and not because of Bush's ineffective wars.

Proof? There is no proof that would satisfy you, but if one looks factually at the situation it is clear that there are significant accomplishments.

Sure, everyone's tired of the war, so it is no surprise Bush is unpopular.

Read what I am about to post very carefully. The worm turned on Bush not because of Iraq. The worm turned during Katrina when Bush was caught with his pants around his ankles while NO 'burned'. When people saw how cavalier you all were towards American citizens, there was a collective cry that broke the spell that bound Americans to Bush......and Republicans. You don't understand what happened because after all, those people in NO who were hurt were just poor black folk. And poor black folk are very much on the bottom of your food chain.

It took a long time for Americans to wake up to who were the bad guys in this country. But they are awake now. That doesn't mean that Obama will be automatically elected. After all, there is an undetermined portion of white America that is still biased against blacks. But it does insure Congress will be as blue as the big bright sky. As I have said before, the Republican brand is heavily damaged. Clearly, you may be too old to change your ways but maybe the younger Republicans can save the brand. However, that will require a significant shift in the GOP ideology as it stands today.
