Even then, they are hardly top celebrities. Britney, back in her heyday, ok. But that has been years. "And juxtaposing obama to white blond sluts is evocative of racial fears in this country." Bingo. I'd forgive this one, but there have been a steady stream of ads and other stuff pushing the idea that Obama is uppity and doesn't know his place. It is so consistent that it has to be deliberate.

After what was done to Harold Ford in TN, nothing surprises me. I agree with you that mccain is probably clueless about what that ad was suggesting. And being clueless about anything political is not a positive. The fame of Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears is based on their sluttiness. And juxtaposing obama to white blond sluts is evocative of racial fears in this country. And yet you are torn between the two candidates??? From where I am sitting that doesn't make good sense. How can any one who runs a campaign like McCain is running....and I don't agree with you and CJ that McCain is clueless [after all, he has made many an off color joke re. racial issues]......be a good president? He won't be on a number of different levels....this being one of them.
