Given the rate of return on US bonds to foreigners due to the collapse of the value of the dollar, how much longer will they buy and hold our bonds? If we can't sell our bonds, then what happens when we run a deficit? You know the answer to that one. We print the money. And that never ends well. Especially when the economy is precarious. Given the banking crisis, we could be looking at a total restructuring.
