Yup. That's it.

I tried my circles on FIL's three acres of lawn mowing (maybe it's three and a half, really), and he belly-ached so bitterly that I had to go back to a vertical pattern perpendicular to the road. He has a lot of hickory trees, and I would widen my circle around each one.

Actually, it's faster that way even though you double mow some of the ground. I think it's because you don't have to spend time turning around.
