"First you have to stop the unequal distribution of wealth which has been nearly impossible for the past 50 years. The rich are so powerful in this country that they stop any progressive movement that might allow a more equitable distribution of wealth."

I am not going to argue this point with you. Blaming Reagan is something obama would never do, so you blaming him is irrelevent. Problem is economic growth and jobs of all types. Another problem is education and lack of immigration of smart people who are discriminated against by our immigration policy. I am for the death tax for the wealthy so i might just come out and support a life tax for billionaires. Any income over a billion dollars whether passive or active should be taxed at 100%. Buffet and Gates would be for it. NOT.
Growth comes from the up and comers and the tax and investment system needs to be geared toward them. Last thing you want to do is overtax newbie rich. This socialist redistributionist argument wont fly with this old dude.
