Is it a coincidence these things always happen when Republicans have control? Witness the great depression and RTC days for collapsing home values and bank failures. All about too much deregulation creating a gogo atmosphere in bank lending and new construction..

Yes no doubt we had the biggest bubbles in coastal blue areas so local politicians and more liberal thinking bought into the whole ponzi scheme hook line and sinker for the added dollars going into the cash registers. Now we got pork on all levels of our local and state government as well as overdevelopment sitting empty courtesy of the housing bubble..

A great report on Fox over the weekend on earmarks..roads to no where and congressmen pocketing big profits ahead of pork spending being approved by GWB.. 3 of the 4 highlighted on the show were Republicans who know how to do that development and redoing the land use maps stuff for big profit a whole lot better..
