Are you really just angry because the Atkins diet is not taught as standard dogma? I think you are unfairly labelling a whole lot of sincere and hard working investigators because they don't agree with your every word.

I like the article, don't get me wrong. It confirms a lot of things for me that I suspected based on my reading. Especially the info on inflammation (with direct measurement) after as a direct response to high glycemic meal.

How exactly did I label the authors as insincere? I only commented on their sense of self preservation by not touching the sensitive subjects that could possibly end their careers.

I think this study is valuable, and maybe one day, they will be able to say what they avoided saying, which is that by substitutin fat (and protein) for a portion of the carbs, all the problems they laboriously describe can be avoided all together. Now, of course, that diet would no longer be the low fat diet, following the dogmas of AHA, ADA, AMA, US Dept of Agriculture etc...
