"Speaking about the ambassadorial nomination, White House spokeswoman Erin Healy said: "The president . . . feels Mr. Arnall is well qualified for the position. He had a long career in the private sector and has contributed a great deal to his community." Did she really say this, or did you pull it out of National Lampoon or the Onion? I think this only qualifies him to run the local United Way campaign. And the fact that, at best, he is a tortfeasor (as opposed to an out and out criminal) would seem to disqualify him from that lofty post.
