Hugh live in an alternate reality. What a ridiculous piece of revisionist history. I was there. We lost. Nixon was President and if there was anything left for him to do, he would have done it. Sorry but you apparently were not there or have very poor memory. Nixon was not the President, he had resigned. The peace treaty was signed under him in January 1973, the only reason we had a treaty was because NVN was beaten to a pulp. Had we shown strength China would not have funded the rebuilding of their Army's. Ford (the stupid) chose to ignore intelligence that they were rebuilding their armies. Ford then chose not to drop a single bomb or fire a single bullet to help SVN, then Congress decided they didn't need guns or bullets either. We basically lost a war that had been won.
