I hope so because I love meat and I always eat the fat on the steak. I can live without sugar or most high glycemic carbs however.

I'm just like you. At a buffet, I dig around for the fattiest piece of beef but have no problem bypassing the desert bar.

I wonder if saturated fats might be bad mainly in combination with high glycemic carbs or if their bad effects could be negated by fish oil, vitamin D, etc.

We know so little about nutrition. And most of what we think we know is probably wrong.
