TH & Ork - thanks for the comments. This last little while has had the feel of forced liquidation, but then I've thought that a few times this year. The monthly chart of gold still looks like the bull market is in intact but the HUI and XAU are way below their respective 200 day EMAs. Interesting to see the secret indicator pointing to a tight market, I've heard that silver other than 100/1000 ounce bars is hard to find, but I haven't tried to test that myself yet.

ork,

That is most unfortunate. Still, a small fortune is better than no fortune.

I know from our discussions that you and I somewhat disagree on POG manipulation, but I think we are seeing that right now and over the past few months. POG at a grand is a serious concern for the Fed, as joe-six notices such things. And now we are seeing a dollar rally because the other guys are just not getting their currency discounted on mounting recession concerns.

Ok, so fundamentals mean zip at this juncture. I might have to ask Bart for a summary of defined entitlements and debt for each major currency. As I see it, America is spending excessive amounts in an effort to prevent sinking into the abyss. Why POG is not screaming based on this fundamental difference (at least as I perceive it), and nothing short of astounding.

Then again, a dollar rally buys the Fed a lot of breathing room, so expect every trick to make that happen.
