Home price drops could last to 2010

Wachovia Corp., the bank with the most deposits in South Florida, says the real estate value freefall will continue through 2010 with price drops of 16 to 27 percent still ahead.

An economist with Moody’s Economy.com also sees drops lasting until the end of 2009 or into 2010 with home values sliced in half from their 2006 peaks.
