6:02 am The truth is that Obama’s suupporters and the candidate himself are an embarrassment to real liberals. My age is 55 and i have been carrying the liberal sign since i was a kid. But being a liberal back in the day meant to want to feed the poor and equality in medical care and opportunity. Today it means men marrying men and abortion rights and all sorts of self serving issues that focus on the ego and not on the poor, needy and those of unfortunate birth. Where is the party headed? The posters above want a quiet convention and to anoint Obama. For what purpose. The convention has always been a wild time for all voices to be heard and for challenges to be made. Obama is saying his staff will control the dissenters and that Clinton’s staff will help him. That’s the opposite of what we were.

One of the great ironies of this election is that Obama is always backing away from what he is. When we saw the Reverend Wright in action i screamed out to all who would listen that the Rev. was talking real liberalism. He was talking the talk of our liberal forebears and Obama disowned him. I fear that the trust fund pseudo-liberals have hijacked the party and they want to live forever and live the way they want and force us all to acknowledge it. Who cares about gay marriage and stop aborting babies to fit in to a party dress. Bring back the real issues. Why are you partying in your wealthy digs while millions live like dogs without proper home and food and oppurtunity.

Obama is a rich man in a gated community who lived the affirmative action lifestyle and now he is a celebrity. Well celebrities come and go quickly and what’s left. The empty shirt. Tell people to go away and keep quiet so Obama can slip in. That’s not America, that’s not the process to find the best candidate. That is what got us George Bush.

Don’t forget that at the age Obama was schmoozing at Harvard McCain was in a dungeon in Hanoi protecting his fellow prisoners. As that message gets to the populace it becomes harder and harder to hoist Obama. Winston Churchill and FDR were not celebs. They wer not pretty faces and they talked funny…and we would never be able to elect either in this MTV world we live..some of the above posters show their lack of history knowledge when they describe what they think a convention should be and they also lack any dignity or respect for the process. Obama took a spanking in the majority of the last primaries in very important states. That is an alarm and the party needs to deal with it at the convention not call it a crazy uncle like he did Rev. Wright. We need to get back to a liberalism that worries about and not about the rich and their right to live the lifestyle they wish…I don’t trust rich people and that means all politicians so i look for the little things…the POW experience or the JFK war record. Obama is no JFK…what an insult to a man who cared about the poor and needy and was a real liberal
