I know you guys are having fun with this but you have latched on to obamas greatest weakness. Regardless of what his true beliefs are and i believe his is more clinton than pelosi, he has this leftwing as an albatross around his pencil neck.
I started the day listening to Goolsby's half assed defense of the Excess profits tax on CNBC and now as its been pointed out here, obamas lame view that the american people will buy a non-oil related energy solution. As dumb as the average american is, we dummys know that the alternate energy plan with its $5, $6 and $7 gas prices would be catastrophic to the current weak economic system. Its the earth vs the people and the dems have chosen sides come hell or high water. Sure you need to do alts and conservation but no plan can exist without increasing the supply of oil until there are hydrogen pumps and electric stations at least in the planning stages. How dod they not see this? Even if they are right, they are wrong.

oil-price.net

This news depresses the folks like ted who wanted gas to go to $5, $6 and $7. They wanted this they say to foster conservation and as parsons said to punish the american people for getting into this mess in the first place.

As I've said before, I think the dems will lose the election over the price of gas.

Like dems think condoms are the solution for all of society's problems...

Looks like the Republicans already thought of my idea. Not that it was very original ... ;-)

> In mocking Obama, McCain told a motorcycle rally in Sturgis, S.D.: "My opponent doesn't want to drill, he doesn't want nuclear power, he wants you to inflate your tires." The Republican National Committee widely distributed tire pressure gauges labeled "Obama energy plan" and suggested that was the Illinois senator's only idea for reducing oil imports, although both candidates have offered multifaceted energy proposals.

Steve, I think everyone at the Republican National Convention should receive a free tire pressure gauge with a tag that says:

OBAMA'S ENERGY PLAN
"It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant."

It won't be nearly as laughable as the purple thumbs in the Senate. Thank God they used washable dye. Now wouldn't that be embarrassing if their thumbs were still purple. Fixed.
