Most spark plugs are still 30K miles, but the point is that "tune-ups" these days only consist of replacing the spark plugs. Maybe even hooking up the diagnostic computer and reading the codes for problems, but for most cars any serious problem will activate the "Check Engine" light.

By the way, Jim, had I bought an American car, I probably would have saved about 50% in repair costs. BMWs are quite expensive to maintain. (Of course, that assumes the same level of reliability, and unfortunately with American cars, reliability is still a crapshoot.)
