You are correct. I used the wrong name, its a "Radeon Xpress 1150 IGP", and its based off a Radeon RV320. It is 1/3rd the power of a 690G (RV410). It was launched May, 2006.

en.wikipedia.org

As for why its shown with only a 35% graphics increase, that was the old plan where the R7xx series GPUs weren't going to be out until mid 2009. Its already here some 12 months early. And the 35% improvement over the 780G is already here in the 790GX. Now the stories have Fusion (Swift) based off the R8xx GPUs now scheduled for early 2009. Which are 2 generations beyond the RV610 used in the 790GX. I think that those stories are somewhat confused as the Swift will use a RV710 with the code name of RS880 or RS890 ala the descendents of the 780G or 790GX (likely called the 880G or 890GX). You do realize that I used 2010 which is the second generation Fusion comes out (Falcon) not Swift, the 2009 variant. Those will use the RV810 GPU core (the current plan). And will be 9 to 10 times faster than the 780G or 790GX.

As for the changing of plans, they really haven't changed them. Fusion will still use the same graphics core that the IGPs will use launching about the same time frame. They were just being conservative while hoping the RV710 would be ready by then. Now that it is assured it will be, they moved the public target to a shrunken RV710 (smaller newer process). The same will happen with Falcon moving to a shrunken RV810.
