Was the surge supposed to stop political infighting? Maybe you feel troops should settle that matter here in the states. That is why Obama wants a Nationwide Police Force larger than the Army. Geeze talk about a Sci Fi horror, that would be it. There are reasons that one cannot be formed. It's called States rights and the federal government has no business policing state law. There are plenty of federal law enforcement agencies that enforce federal laws. The state and local police assist them in nearly every occasion. However a national police force? What is the purpose of a national police force? Is it simply a way to circumvent Posse Comitatus? LOL I guess you could whine about a real police state if that came to fruition.
