I lived there and around there from 78-82 and don't remember all that rain.

Come to think of it, this was mostly late summer of 79 and the spring of 80. I was renting a house, and had a very old mower that just couldn't hack wet grass. But it could cut it as tall as the house if it was dry. During that period I could not mow the grass except during the week. Just before moving out of the house the new renters were mad because the lawn was not mowed. But I had been working in Augusta and my wife had been finishing up her job there this was about late June of 1980. The wife had not cut the yard and it had rained every day that I was there. Plus we were very busy packing and loading the U-Haul.
