Ted, you're missing the point. No one is disputing the benefits of properly inflated tires. Why do you think Obama includes NASCAR in his fuel-economy rhetoric? There's already AAA, the National Highway Safety Commission, Consumer Reports, and many many other relevant public agencies. To many people, especially Obama's constituents, NASCAR conjures up images of car crashes, extremely loud engines, burning tires, and exhaust fumes from the thousands of gallons of fuel burned up like there's no tomorrow. All just to see 25 cars go around an oval track. But of course, Obama mentions NASCAR, and all of a sudden the liberal media (such as Keith Olbermann) follows along and pretends that NASCAR is the foremost authority on safe and fuel-efficient driving. Give me a break, as if they had any respect for that "red-state" sport before Lord Obama mentioned it. Tenchusatsu
