It isn't a magic bullet, but if it gives warm fuzzies to some, it isn't the worst thing we could do. The compromise of those 10 senators is something I can get behind. I don't think drilling the OCS will come anywhere close to solving the problem, but if doing that also means we look seriously at alternatives, then so be it. Oh I agree......I just don't like these decisions to be made in an atmosphere of fear and greed. Fortunately, the price of crude is coming down and gas is getting a little cheaper. But I'll tell you.....if they start drilling off the coast of N. CA I will be sickened. Its part of one of the most awesome coastlines in the world. Just seeing platforms out there will be sickening.
