Are you telling us that if you arrive at a Canadian hospital with chest pains they won't see you????

Nope, but you may well die while waiting for access to the cath lab.

Knee ligament repair is not an emergency....and in the US you may wait a month or two or three....(personal experience)

Shoulder surgery may wait a month or two or three (personal experience)

No, it may not be an emergency but it is part of health care.

Do you want me to cite some examples of more serious illnesses? Like brain tumors, cancers, liver disease, etc.? Because if you simply google it you will find out that there are plenty of anecdotal as well as professionals' remarks.

The Canadian health care system is on the brink of collapse.

The simple truth is that a person can get better health care in almost any facility in the United States than he can in Canada. Which is why Canadians are coming to the US (if they have money) for treatment.

The only people who are in favor of socialized health care for the US are those who don't know a damned thing about it. Amongst those of us who work in the business end of health care, you find ALMOST NOBODY who supports radical change -- unless it would be privatization of the existing government programs (one government program *IS* run with reasonable competence, and that is Tricare -- but it still doesn't rate with private insurance companies in terms of its management).
