The burden of proof isn't particularly on the 2nd person to make a statement about an issue. Its as much on you as it is on me. It would be just as helpful if you provided examples or argument, but then it still would be unlikely to change the point that your assertion was "opinion stated as fact".

Examples could be too easily cherry picked, they don't actually mean that much in this context. The issue is the overall reality, and neither of us is likely to write a book about it (or post it on SI if we do), and really even a book, or a library of books, can't examine such a large issue in incredible detail. The examples can still be cherry picked. It would still be opinion.
