Edwards' explanations sound like Obama trying to explain how his tire inflation/tune-up idea wasn't completely idiotic.

I have told clients many times that if you have to explain something away in more than a sentence or two, you're in big trouble...<g>

I just heard CNN announce Edwards confession on the air - which of course, came completely out of the blue if you get your news from CNN, since they spiked the story until now. The anchor said vaguely "some of this has been reported before now" (not on CNN, honey) which is the closest I've seen them come to acknowledge the Enquirer story.

Are these guys still journalists? Are they capable of embarrassment? One wonders.

Edwards also denied he was the father of Hunter's baby girl, Frances Quinn, although the one-time Democratic Presidential candidate said he has not taken a paternity test.....
Edwards today admitted the National Enquirer was correct when it reported he had visited Hunter at the Beverly Hills Hilton last month.

Of course, a married guy would visit a baby that's not his by sneaking into a hotel where the kid and baby mama are staying in the wee hours of the morning. Right.

BTW, even though Andrew Young claimed paternity, and Rielle Hunter also said he was the father, there's no father's name on the kid's birth certificate.
