Hi from GENE. Don't post much here. You're a great group of guys/girls. Please look at PR from MITI today. Please tell me this is not remarkable. I was only stockholder who showed up at annual meeting in remote Bethesda, Maryland (my home town). Also largest shareholder in GNVC (Steve Newby). I post mostly on Y!MB under snewby1946. 8/15/08 update
Score another week for the Bulls. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -7.53% YTD (vs. -8.98% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 11.11% YTD (vs. up 8.73% YTD a week ago). The Contest portfolios were also up for the week, although by just a smidgen, with the median closing down -6.19% YTD (vs. down -6.85% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 14 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with a mere 5 of the portfolios beating the NBI. Our leader, GENE's portfolio, had another hot week, closing with a stupendous 105.8% YTD gain. ROBERT's portfolio remained in second place with a 46.0% YTD gain.
