I am absolutely blown away by this Opening Ceremony. And that is probably an understatement. The first event, a kind of digitalis of drums pretty much knocked me out of my chair, as for the first time in a long time, I had some small glimpse of what it really means to be large in number. Oh my. The combination of individual cells of light, spread across 2008 drummers? I simply don't know what to say. The combination of massive scope with tiny detail was..uhmmm..fucking awesome!

Some possible messages from the this ceremony:

Artists of the world: you're going to have to raise your game.
America (my country): you better get your ass in gear.
Commodity Bears: god help you, if you stay short too long.

Final comment: hands down the most unbelievable thing I have ever seen on television. Had I known this was going to happen like this, I would have sacrificed alot, just to get there.

The opening was beyond whatever expectations people in the world had.
It raised the barrier of show-opening from here on...
Saying: here is the barrier. Now you guys try better that.
