how bout raising retirement age to 70?

Sounds like a good idea. And if we start moving that way now we can do it slower, not 70 in one go, but say increase it by one year for every two years until it hits 70.

Then maybe after that it can be indexed for life expectancy (which will probably mean a slower increase, but you an also include a "no more than one year increase for every two years" limit just in case there is a sudden increase in life expectancy)
