"Don't you think that's pretty bad, though?" Yes. It was extremely reckless of him to run for president with that in his immediate background. "Having an affair while your wife has terminal cancer?" Well, Newt blazed the cancer trail earlier. Not that could possibly excuse his behavior. It does call into question his judgment, regardless.

To me, though, the bigger story isn't the affair itself, but the media's role in keeping it quiet. You mean like how they don't bring up negative things in McCain's past live.....Keating 5, how he left his first wife, trashing 5 jets, his racist/misogynist jokes, etc. But they have no problem discussing ad nauseum things about Obama like J. Wright, Rezko, Ayres, his Muslim ties, etc. Yeah, what's up with that?
