America embraced isolationism after WWI. Int'l trade collapsed, the world sank into economic depression, tyrants arose and aggressed against their neighbors, then their new neighbors, and on and on. We tried to avoid conflict at all costs till we were attacked ourselves. Thats the history of the twenties and thirties. And its what liberals want for us today. Abandon our trade agreements (see Obama's anti-NAFTA talk and opposition to any other trade agreements), shrink the military (another Obama policy), only fight if our homeland is attacked, let the world go to hell. We've done it before. All it led to was a world war with hundreds of millions of dead. Message 24836726
