They haven't yet. They have been thinking about voting on it, but it hasn't happened.

Yes he will. Or, at least, it is the most likely.

It was inevitable. Unfortunately, we are weakened to the point we can't offer anything but bluster. It isn't worth going nuclear over, and that is all we have now.

Did you know that Russia had a traditional, military display on May Day this year? You know, marching troops, rumbling tanks, display of missiles and planes overhead. It wasn't commented on the media here, not as sexy as finding about who is sleeping with whom, but it got some play in Europe.

A victory in Georgia is only going to feed the situation.

Putin isn't stupid. He will take advantage.

Interesting times...
