I'm as much against generalizations as you are. Usually remind people about the short-hand journalist use which are detrimental to understand an issue. One of these are the use of the word. The global economy is... Western World is... I don't know why Americans don't come to me and TJ and say: well you guys are talking about American economy but the US is a big country and there are several areas that will not be as affected as others. When I hear The Western World I have to tell what the western world is and what is not.
