Obama has essentially said the same things. The Security Council has been meeting since Friday. I am guessing that McCain isn't aware that Russia sits on the Security Council.

He urged the Bush administration to convene an emergency session of the UN Security Council so that it could call on Russia to reverse its "perilous course". He also called for the establishment of a neutral peacekeeping force in South Ossetia.

How is that different from what Obama is saying? Unfortunately, its the only avenue open to the US.

Russia did exactly that when Georgia began the war. Bush said no. Are you saying that McCain would have agreed with Russia, set up a Security Council meeting and halted Georgia's aggression? You must be high.
