"We certainly are in a position to make demands on Russia - at least as much as we ever have been. "

Like what? What demands do you think we can make?

"We certainly are in a position to make demands on Russia - at least as much as we ever have been."

This isn't the Soviet Union we are talking about here. This isn't the Russia of the 1990s. You apparently don't have a clue what the situation is there if you are trying to bring this up. It isn't relevant. The situation is totally different on so many levels.

The fact of the matter is that we have zero leverage on Russia. But, Russia has great leverage on the West. They supply much of the natural gas used in Europe. They also supply a big chunk of the oil. Russia produces 9.4 million barrels of oil a day. They could devastate our economy by slowing production. About the only way we could respond is to rename Russian dressing to Freedom dressing and start calling Chicken Kiev Freedom Chicken...

You seem to have forgotten how Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot.

ROTFLMAO! You are good and funny!
