He didn't say that. He did say both countries needed to show restraint. That isn't a surrender statement. It is reality. The consensus view amongst people who have the slightest idea about such matters comports with Bolten's remarks. Obama's position -- and Bush's until a few minutes ago -- have been utterly WEAK. Bush has now come out strongly, and Obama is trying to beef up his remarks. This is why you can't have an amateur like Obama at the helm of the only superpower on earth.
