>> McClatchy lowers estimated value of Seattle Times to $19.9M

Unfortunately, the American newspaper industry is on its way out.

A day is coming in the not-too-distant future that we have only a couple of liberal rags (NYT, WAPO, a few others) left. It is a sad turn of events, since newspapers have been the backbone of the news industry (such as it is) forever.

It is just going to lead to more biased news reporting over time.

McClatchy lowers estimated value of Seattle Times to $19.9M

By Jim Romenesko

Puget Sound Business Journal
McClatchy had valued its 49.5% interest in the Seattle Times Co. at $102.2 million at the end of 2006. In December, McClatchy dropped its estimated value of this investment to $19.3 million.

Yup. Newspapers are a dying breed.

I just noticed why the lefties here are having orgasms posting from adn.com, the Anchorage Daily News, it's a McClatchy POS paper.

And we know how much they love the democrats...
