Ah yes, let me guess, another "America sucks" story by Jennifer Kerr of the AP? Sometimes America does suck. The only way to change it is to first recognize it. People that stick their head in the sand impede progress... they are a big part of the reason that sometimes America sucks.

Republican Leach Backs Obama Former Iowa Rep. Jim Leach (R-IA) will be endorsing Sen. Barack Obama this morning, according to Radio Iowa. "Leach, as you may recall, lost his bid for re-election in 2006 after three decades representing portions of eastern Iowa in congress. Leach was considered a "moderate" Republican and was a backer of campaign finance reform. Leach did not accept campaign contributions from political action committees." On an Obama conference call this morning, Leach will be joined by other Republicans who are backing the Illinois senator. politicalwire.com
