Yeah it makes no sense.

Guys like George Yin who have more brains than I do can prove conclusively that treating C corps like other entities would actually help the federal budget. There are several theories on how to do that but any of them works better than what we have now.

It is very inefficient to have an entirely separate system of taxation for this single entity.

Double taxation for the shareholders

If the vast majority of corporations are avoiding taxes, where is the double tax?

The smart folks, of course avoid all their taxes, and support the politicians that make sure it stays that way.
