You have a total of FIVE major oil companies importing, refining and delivering all the oil the nation uses, as well as providing massive raw material for plastics and other processes. If they weren't making billions we'd be wondering what the hell was wrong with them! A couple hundred billion a year for these companies combined is not at all out of line with the product they are delivering. It is the same old crap -- the politicians take advantage of the fact that most people just don't have the gumption to recognize what a service the oil companies provide for our nation. It is an absolute bargain, giving what they do to earn the money.
