Lincoln and Bush are/were both Executive Branch power hungry Federal freaks. At least Bush hasn't contemplated arresting a sitting Supreme Court Justice. He is simply following the well worn path trodden out by Lincoln.

For the record(as you well know) I am not a Bush apologist. However, Bush never declared war on his own people as Lincoln did.
