Where was his intelligence and good judgement when he said his church wasn't particularly controversial? He didn't understand that wasn't true till Americans had seen his friend and pastor screaming "God Damn America, God Damn America, God Damn America" while Obama's church shouted its enthusiastic approval. Was it intelligence and good judgment that led him to continue to defend the church and pastor even after that until the pastor began embarrassing him by calling press conferences?

Where was his intelligence and good judgment when his long time friend and political sponsor was letting poor folks freeze in unheated buildings during the middle of a Chicago winter?

Was it good judgment to promise to hold personal summits with no preconditions in his first year in office with the heads of all the worlds rogue regimes and the heads of all 57 Muslim states?

Was it intelligent to have to have a campaign official resign after being caught privately assuring Canadian officials he doesn't really mean that campaign crap about rewriting NAFTA?

Is it intelligent to argue against more access for drilling in the US when 74% of voters support it?

Is it intelligent to insist capital gains taxes should be raised even if it means lower capital gains tax revenue?

Was it good judgment to claim publicly to have resolved to not wear a flag pin because its a sign of "false patriotism"?
