"When a presidential candidate cannot keep commitments to his spouse, it is a story of national interest, because he is making commitments to voters and they need to know if he is not trustworthy...."

I don't think anyone in his right mind would try to hold McCain accountable for a divorce 30 years ago, particularly when the ex-spouse claims she "adores" him. Now, if he were cheating on his wife today, I suspect he would be finished.

These extreme leftist blogs that have tried to make a deal out of McCain's divorce are playing only to the hard-left-lunatics who are subject to that kind of innuendo. To suggest it is the same as this Edwards nonsense is pretty stupid.
