Unfortunate many other participants agreed with TJ for what ever reason and no one condemned TJ conduct and the fact that he called me those names More saddened was the fact that many are thinking that I should repent and not TJ for his recent racial expression, for something I indicated 5 years ago, that out of economic reason and China’s transgression over US economic resources (which consist mostly of intellectual property) and on top that at the time China was forcing an US airplane in international airspace to land on China soil and not releasing it immediately, are not enough reasons for a declaration of war if China government will not stop. Fact is that China since improved substantially in their conduct on all levels and are much more cooperative with the Western World and the severity of their action then, or are not practiced any more or are on a very low level, including their slow appreciation of the Yuan to assist the US and others. The situation in China now is not what it was then in 2002/2003. Taiwan is not shelled and or threaten with invasion but to contrary there is cooperation same with South Korea and their relation with Japan are warmer. Yes there are severe pollution issues which will soon bubble to the surface and play a major role in disputes to come but nothing like it was then around Y2K Therefore as explained in my recent post there are reasons to start a war if the other side does not get it. Unfortunate many on this tread do not get it. Yes war is extreme but a surgery is also and most people recover and live on happy lives after the tumor is extracted. …. and I also like to post extreme situation as very few “get it” with nuances, but war is in many cases like a surgery and beneficial in the long run if it is justified and all other remedies where in vain. As to my other comments on the present invasion of Georgia fact is that 95% of people in the Western Hemisphere including S. America and S.E Asia do not have a clue about what it really goes on today in Russia and former USSR countries and CEE, or are blinded by the task of chasing riches. Few are aware of the ego-mania of the people there and their concept of what free markets and capitalism is, and the fact that the rule of law is what is convenient for those in power(not once after a meeting I was thinking if next day I will be OK, but still peopel as people are facinating and warm). If I am wrong, then the current incident in Georgia would not have happen! It was a clever laid out trap by Putin and his gang to take over Georgia the only free corridor from Central Asia to Europe. The played on each other pride which in those region is more important than life. Putins gang left Georgia without choice no action would have finished the government by revolt – Gerogia mistake was not calling in help to prove to the population the world is with them and the world will defend them and their pride!!! (just insult someone powerful and hurt his pride in public and you end up in a body bag very quickly and buried in your home town if you are very lucky) I was told of the importance of this region already in 1996 by US government officials in D.C. – but then it took me a year at least to “get it” and started my business efforts toward this region several years later. The fact that I was Romanian born helped me with opening doors at high levels – but the way of doing business inherited form the communist days was to much for me. Score of people got very rich very quickly in those countries if they played by the local rules which I know inside out but did not want to participate. In those countries SIZE does not matter – as a fact which I know of, Cargill is owned quite a bit of money in one of those countries but they refuse to pay because Cargill wants to deal the American way – the end of story is Cargill can afford to wait 10 years or more for 9 figures in debt as they are non public company. ON the other hand S. KOrea plays the game and received project in the billions ... and soon will be also China Why I write all this? Because even when I lend my knowledge to this board, about this region still clueless people pestered me called me names and accuse me of all kind of deficiencies without even asking why my line of thinking is the way it is and how I gained this knowledge. …. and then again I ask – where was ELMO? In any case after this long emotional piece I may post from time to time as now I must collect my pieces, because I assume that a 2 year effort in developing business relation in the region may have gone up in smoke, in an ill conceive policy of the world powers that are more concerned by their internal nonsense bickering and did not pay attention to the rising power in Russia who now tries to get back on his aggressive path they had back in the Tsarist days and then after Stalin came to power and further under Khrushchev and Brejniev, after accumulating enough wealth from the recent rise of commodity prices. History never repeats itself but rimes said a very smart American – unfortunate his fellow citizens do not listen. Also what Solzhenitsyn said after living close to 18 year in the US was ignored by policy maker – except by Putin who decorated him as a Russian hero ………and as such during the next years the Western Hemisphere will pay dearly for their ignorance
