Ouch. Will the war start again now? Will Russia dump its 300-400 billion in US treasuries? That could start another avalanche of USD selling... This is WWIII stuff, or am I getting paranoid?

We'll see what happens now, but I would not be surprised if the paranoia on this thread realized - Russia will go into full scale war in Georgia to try to remove the unwanted president there quickly. We shall see. Things have become unpredictable.

Via the Bosporus Straight. If the U.S. Navy is in the Black Sea and heading for Georgia this would be explosive. A large section of The Georgian coast is Abkhazia, that, if i recall rightly, see themselves as Russian, another Ossetia situation. The U.S. attitude makes for a possible WWIII scenario--i mean that possibilty can not be arbitarily ruled out. IOWs is we get aggressive , and Bush and those fanatic meatheads that think Russia is still the Gulag Archipelago russia. They go to their "We have a big DickHead" mode The neocons are slightly right of General Jack T.Ripper(played by Sterling Hayden) in StrangeLove. Russia has already charged that they believe the surprise and savage attack in Ossetia by Georgia was ENDORSED by the WH. U.S. media censorship has already, ala Big Brother erased the fact this was started by Georgian decisive aggression against Ossetian civilians , and , yes, i am sure, with our knowledge and green light.Why sure? Neocons are neocons, the new Fascists of the world. This is all insane, all of it.Max
