Ted, > The GOPer who leaked the story to the Enquirer was paid.

Another "vast right-wing conspiracy" theory.

Excuse me, you think a Dem leaked the story to the N.E. Right, ten, and did you know the earth was flat?

The Nat. Enquirer has a good reputation but its not impeccable.....and sometimes gets it wrong.

The National Enquirer often gets things wrong, but that just means the mainstream media shouldn't have to actively spike stories that the Enquirer breaks.

It appears the NE gets things wrong but that's because the ones getting accused deny the charge and threaten to sue. As it turns out, the NE wins many more of those lawsuits then they lose.

I Believe the National Enquirer

Why don't you?

Don't tell me that the MSM holds themselves to a higher standard, because that is painfully obvious. But they are making themselves less relevant in the age of the Internet, much like the RIAA was becoming as MP3s rose in popularity.

With that, I agree.......newspapers esp. seem to be going the way of the dodo bird.
