well when a company shows improving results then the stock usually goes up.

Going from "massive debt, huge losses, insufficient R&D, time running out" to "massive debt, smaller losses, insufficient R&D, time running out" might not do much of anything. I guess I'm saying that AMD looks to be on the road to bankruptcy, and so small changes might not make much of an impression on investors. The gamers graphics market has never provided ATI with much profit, even in the best of times.

Kash, I don't think your analysis has thought through how the GPU contributions might affect the bottom line, as well as AMD's fundamental cash flow problems going forward. But if it's the risk you'd like to take, just try to make sure you get as informed as possible. And ask a few other people outside of this board for their advice as well. Caveat Emptor.
